Windows Server 2012 Support Added for Amazon

DynaCenter now supports migrating Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Release 1 and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Release 2 images to Amazon VPC, Amazon GovCloud (US), and Amazon EC2-Classic environments.

Amazon IAM Instance Role Support Added

DynaCenter now supports assigning an IAM instance role to a deployed server as part of the deploy operation when deploying an image to Amazon.

2TiB SSD EBS Volume Support Added for Deploys to Amazon

DynaCenter now supports attaching SSD Elastic Block Store (EBS) volumes up to 2TiB in size to an Amazon EC2 instance when deploying an image to Amazon.

Additional Amazon Region Support

DynaCenter now supports the Amazon EU Frankfurt (eu-central-1) region.

Additional SoftLayer Datacenter Support

DynaCenter now supports the SoftLayer Paris (PAR01) datacenter.

DynaCenter Agent Now Supports Dynamic Memory Mode

The DynaCenter agent now supports a new dynamic memory mode that is leveraged during the server capture operation to ensure minimal impact to high memory utilization workloads and/or memory constrained systems. This feature ensures that critical applications continue to run unaffected during the capture process.

Bug Fixes

Windows License Activation More Robust for Deploys to Amazon VPC

Fixed an issue where, under very specific circumstances, license activation might not complete successfully when deploying a Windows image to an Amazon VPC environment.

Elastic IPs Now Released Correctly After Deploys to Amazon VPC

Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, DynaCenter was not releasing the elastic IP used when deploying to Amazon VPC.

cloud-init Directories from Source Now Deployed to Target Server

Fixed an issue where DynaCenter was removing both the /etc/cloud directory and any corresponding startup files from the /etc/init.d directory when deploying an image. DynaCenter will now deploy the /etc/cloud directory to the target server and will deploy, but turn off, any startup scripts in /etc/init.d.

Windows DynaCenter Agent Now Upgrades and Uninstalls Correctly

Fixed an issue where, under specific circumstances, the Windows DynaCenter agent would not shutdown correctly, which could prevent the agent from upgrading or uninstalling correctly.

Capture and Deploy Operations more Robust

Fixed a threading issue that could, under very specific circumstances, cause a capture or deploy operation to hang during the chunking phase of the operation.

Oracle Linux 6.x Now Deploys Successfully to Amazon

Fixed an issue where Oracle Linux 6.x images could not be successfully deployed to Amazon because DynaCenter could not find the Amazon Machine Image (AMI) needed for the deploy operation.

DynaCenter Agent Now Successfully Processes Cancel Deploy Requests

Fixed an issue where, under specific circumstances, the DynaCenter agent would not always successfully process a request to cancel a deploy task.
